September 23, Fineko/abc.az. In 2023, the population of Azerbaijan consumed 3.98 bcm of natural gas.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the largest consumption was Baku – 1.49 bcm. The Absheron district took the 2nd place with an indicator of 298.1 million cu m.

The population of Ganja consumed 142.7 million cu m of natural gas last year, and the population of Sumgayit -134.6 million cu m.

Shamkir district took the 5th place in terms of consumption, and the consumption rate of the district last year amounted to 84.7 million cu m.

In addition, 80.8 million cu m of natural gas was consumed in Lankaran last year, 75.2 million cu m in Khachmaz, 63.2 million cu m in Masalli, 62.7 million cu m in Barda, and 62 million cu m in Tovuz.
