July 10, Fineko/abc.az. Bulgarian state-owned gas company Bulgargaz has filed a lawsuit for 400 million euros against Gazprom in the International Arbitration Court at the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris.

ABC.AZ reports that the reason for filing the lawsuit was the "unilateral termination of Russian gas supplies in April 2022".

In a statement, the Bulgarian company said that Bulgargaz had previously offered Gazprom to settle the issue in a pre-trial manner, but the Russian side allegedly "did nothing" in this direction.

In the spring of 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to transfer payment for the export of Russian gas to rubles, but Bulgaria refused to fulfill these conditions. After that, on April 27, 2022, Gazprom completely suspended gas supplies to Bulgargaz due to their non-payment in rubles on time.
