July 18, Fineko/abc.az. The Coca-Cola Company has disclosed in an official SEC filing that its dairy subsidiary, Fairlife, has fallen victim to a major ransomware cyberattack, forcing a temporary shutdown of all its manufacturing facilities across the United States.
While the breach compromised critical production-related IT networks, forcing systems offline, the high-protein milk brand’s Canadian operations remain completely unaffected.
Coca-Cola stated that product quality and safety have not been impacted by the incident, and external cybersecurity experts alongside law enforcement have been brought in to contain the breach and assess its full scope. No official timeline has been provided yet for when the US production lines will be fully restored and operational.
