May 10, Fineko/abc.az. In the first quarter of 2024, Azerbaijani citizens incurred expenses in foreign countries in the amount of 439.11 million mantas (74% more than in 2023).

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the biggest expenses of tourists traveling abroad related to transport.

Thus, 37% of expenses of tourists traveling abroad from the country, or 16.57 million manats, are transportation costs. In the 1st quarter of 2023, this figure was 38%.

Azerbaijani tourists spent the most on trips to Türkiye, Russia, the UAE, Georgia, Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan.
