Oil price goes up, and Brent is at $83.97 a barrel

May 3, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of benchmark grades are increasing in Friday’s trading, but end the week with a decline.

The price of July’s Brent crude futures at the London ICE Futures exchange increased by $0.30 (0.36%) to $83.97 per barrel by 09:40. Following the trading on May 2, Brent crude futures for July rose by $0.23 (0.28%) to $83.67 per barrel.

The price of WTI crude oil futures for June on the electronic trading of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) grew by $0.29 (0.37%) to $79.24 per barrel by 09:40. Following the trading on May 2, the price of June WTI oil futures declined by $0.05 (0.06%) to $78.95 per barrel.

Since the beginning of this week, Brent crude has fallen by 4.9% and WTI crude by 5.6%.
