Annual inflation in 2025 - Forecast

12:17 - 1.05.2024

May 1, Fineko/abc.az. In general, the increasing and decreasing risks of inflation balance each other. Annual inflation is expected to be within the target (4±2%) in 2024 and 2025, if current conditions remain unchanged (April forecast: 3.5% by 2024 and 4.2% by 2025).

ABC.AZ reports that Central Bank’s chairman Taleh Kazimov made this statement at a traditional press conference.

He noted that in April, the inflation forecast for 2024 was changed downward.

"Further decisions on monetary policy will depend on the comparability of actual inflation with the forecast, on the dynamics of risk factors of external and internal origin. The equilibrium level of inflationary factors, the current dynamics of inflation and the influence of factors outside monetary policy on monetary conditions and aggregate demand increase the likelihood of maintaining the parameters of the interest rate corridor unchanged in the near future. In the coming period, a comprehensive analysis of macroeconomic indicators will also be continued, all available means will be used to ensure price stability in the country," Kazimov said.
