April 2, Fineko/abc.az. Bulgaria's utilities regulator approved a 2% increase in the regulated gas price in the country in April.

ABC.AZ reports that the new price is set at BGN 58.84 per MWh, excluding transportation costs, excise taxes and VAT.

The Energy & Water Resources Regulatory Commission (EWRC) did not disclose the reason for the price increase after a three-month decline and stated that they take into account price trends in international gas markets.

In addition, it was noted that in April of this year, Azerbaijani gas will account for 51.1% of Bulgaria's domestic consumption.
