March 7, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 1.267 million smartphones for $334.347 million from abroad for Jan-Dec 2023.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the country imported 921,623 smartphones for $240.58 from China, 74,520 phones for $22.56 million from India, 266,990 phones for $68.1 million from Vietnam.

Smartphones imported from China increased in value by $149.777 million (2.7-fold) for Jan-Dec 2023, and in quantitative terms by 513,715 phones.

Azerbaijan imported smartphones from China for $260 (443 manats) apiece. Smartphones from China grew in price by $39 (67 manats) for the past year, or by 17.7%.

The cost of smartphones imported from India dropped by $2.654 million (10.7%), and the number — by 13,805 phones (15.6%).

However, the average import price of smartphones from this country increased by $16 (28 manats) or 5.8% over the past year to $296 (503 manats).

Smartphones imported from Vietnam cost $30.514 million (81.1%) in value terms. The number of imports grew by 89,225 phones (50.2%).

The average import price of smartphones imported from Vietnam was $255 (434 manats), which is $44 (74 manats), or 20.6% more than in 2022.
