February 15, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, turnover in the non-oil sector of Azerbaijan grew more than by 10.2%, VAT more than by 10.6%, and electronic invoices more than by 15.6%.

And the volume of new-generation cash registers, which play an important role in the transparency of turnover, reached 22 bn manats in 2023.

ABC.AZ reports that State Tax Service’s head Orhan Nazarli said about this at the forum.

He noted that the Tax Service is working over automating tax control processes, as well as on automating e-services rendered to taxpayers:

"The main target areas will be simplifying tax administration through digitization, reducing the time spent by businesses on tax transactions as a result of increasing the availability and quality of tax information, as well as the possibility of building information systems based on based on artificial intelligence modules."
