January 29, Fineko/abc.az. By 2026, we plan to increase exports of non-oil products up to $5 bn.
ABC.AZ reports that Azpromo executive director Yusif Abdullayev said about this at organization’s press conference devoted to the results of 2023 in the Baku Business Center.
He noted that Azerbaijan currently exports to more than 110 countries. Abdullayev noted that Russia occupies the first place in this row, and the next two places are Türkiye and Georgia.
Stressing that they participate in various exhibitions related to exports, the executive director noted the effectiveness of the measures: "The effect of exhibitions is not instantaneous. Sometimes it takes 12-18 months to get results. But, in general, the results are very encouraging. For the first time, we took part in an exhibition in Iraq.
In February, we will provide information about our participation in exhibitions. To begin with, I will say that we will participate in new exhibitions for us in Japan, Germany and Korea. We have traditional trading houses, currently we are numbering 12 trading houses. In September 2023, during the visit of Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov to China, another Trading House began operating in Beijing. In addition, we had 4 trade representative offices, the number of which was increased to 5. Thus, our trade representative office began to operate in Türkiye."
