January 18, Fineko/abc.az. In 2023, 48 cases on grounds of unfair competition were completed in Azerbaijan, and financial sanctions for to up to AZN 650,000 were applied to 24 market entities that committed violations.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Mammad Abbasbeyli, the head of the State Service for Antimonopoly Control & Consumer Market Supervision under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, as saying this during a press conference devoted to activity for 2023.

In addition, financial sanctions for AZN 148,200 were applied to 3 market entities for failure to provide the requested information and documents. The consideration of cases continues.

During the year, 26 market participants voluntarily eliminated signs of unfair competition.

Abbasbeyli said that in 2023, the State Service carried out 4 large modernization projects.
