January 10, Fineko/abc.az. Creation of new customs checkpoints is planned between Georgia and Azerbaijan on the territory of Aghstafa district.

ABC.AZ reports that the opening of a new bridge over the Astarachay and a checkpoint across the modular type state border with the participation of government officials recently took place on the border between Azerbaijan and Iran.

State Customs Committee’s chairman Shahin Bagirov stated about this.

"In the future, it is planned to create new customs checkpoints between Azerbaijan and Iran in the territory of Zangilan region, as well as between Georgia and Azerbaijan in the territory of Aghstafa region. In particular, it is planned to carry out reconstruction and major repairs at other customs checkpoints," he said.
