December 28, Fineko/abc.az. Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov answered a question about cooperation in the economic sphere against the background of deteriorating relations with France.

ABC.AZ informs that at Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ reporting briefing devoted to the results of 2023, the minister noted that he does not see serious risks in this area in connection with French company Total operating in Azerbaijan.

"We are not in favor of mixing issues. Total showed interest in Absheron field many years ago and won the tender. There is a contractual agreement. The obligations of the parties are provided for in this agreement. Hundreds of companies invest in Azerbaijan, receive income and benefit. But they have both rights and obligations. I believe this will also be regulated in accordance with the law envisaged in this agreement. I don't see any serious risks here. I believe all obligations and rights are reflected in these agreements," the minister said.
