December 19, Fineko/abc.az. In 2023, the Czech Republic increased purchases of Azerbaijani crude oil.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee that in just 11 months of 2023, the Czech Republic purchased 1.135 million tons of crude oil. The cost of imports reached $682.89 million.

The Central European country has continued to actively purchase oil from Azerbaijan over the past two months. For example, 172,230 tons ($123.48 million) of crude oil were bought in October and 46,930 tons ($29.23 million) in November.

While last year Azerbaijan sold one ton of oil to the Czech Republic for $791.6, this year the average price was 24% cheaper, at $601.1.
