December 19, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Nov 2023, Azerbaijan imported 1.94 million tons of wheat for $283.378 million.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee that imports of products in value terms dropped by $105.632 million, or 27.2% and in quantitative terms almost by 73,000 tons (6.2%).

Over Jan-Nov 2022, the country exported 389.1 million tons of wheat for $1.167 million.

The import price for 1 ton of wheat this year was $259, and last year it was $333.

Prices fell by $74, or 22.3%.

The value of imported wheat made up 1.79% of country’s total imports.

Wheat imports made up 3.09% of Azerbaijan's overall imports.
