December 15, Fineko/abc.az. Large-scale restoration and construction works in the occupation-liberated territories of Azerbaijan for the short period of time is one of the rare events in world practice. Most of the work has already been done in the field of road infrastructure. Engineering structures, lines, public and residential buildings are being built in the regions. Master plans of cities and towns are being drawn up.

ABC.AZ reports that Elbay Gasimzade, the chairman of board of the Union of Architects of Azerbaijan, stated this in an interview with journalists at the winter Plenum on the topic "Development of urban planning and architecture in the territories liberated from occupation".

He added that the Master Plan of Baku is ready and under discussion.

According to Gasimzade, the Master Plan will be endorsed as soon as possible:

"The main goal of the new plan is to make more efficient use of the existing territory of Baku, to solve transport problems, problems of engineering structures, ecology and other issues."
