December 4, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan has started using domestically produced mine clearance machines that detect anti-tank and anti-personnel mines.

ABC.AZ reports that Farhad Isayev, deputy director of the Department for Education, International & Relations of ANAMA (Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action) at a round table on the topic "Protection of the rights of persons with disabilities & mine victims in Azerbaijan".

Referring to the importance of educating the population, Farhad Isayev stressed that regular events are held to raise awareness of the danger of mines.

"So far, the relevant department of ANAMA has carried out activities to raise awareness of the danger of mines for 445,232 people, more than 150,000 printed materials have been distributed. In total, 925 warning signs have been installed in dangerous areas," Isayev said.
