Ilham Aliyev: Minimum wage in country grown 2.7-fold, while unemployment decreased significantly

November 23, Fineko/abc.az. As a result of all-round reforms in our country, employment opportunities have increased, the unemployment and poverty rates have seriously decreased to 5.5%, and social benefits have increased many times.

ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the address of President Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the V Baku Conference of Labor Ministers of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Baku.

"Only over the past four years, 40% of our population has been covered by the 4 social reform packages adopted, the minimum wage has increased 2.7-fold, the wage fund - 2.6-fold, the median wage - 2.1-fold, the minimum pension - 2.5-fold, and the average monthly pension – 2-fold," the president stressed.
