November 15, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan exported alcoholic beverages abroad for $18.65 million in the first 9 months of 2023.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that this is 136% higher than a year ago. Of them, $10.3 million was exported to Russia.

In 2022, the export of alcoholic beverages amounted to only $7.22 million.

The main part of export of alcoholic beverages is brandy (cognac), whiskey and wine. In the first three quarters, Azerbaijan exported abroad 190,660 dal ($6.19 million) of cognac, 141,360 dal ($4.86 million) of whiskey and 197,620 dal ($4.55 million) of bottled grape wines.

Whiskey for $4.6 million and cognac for $1.1 million of cognac were exported to Russia.
