November 13, Fineko/abc.az. Strengthening the country's defense capability and building an army remain the main priority.

ABC.AZ reports that Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said this during the discussion of the Bill on State Budget 2024 at today's Milli Majlis meeting.

"In State Budget of 2024, financing of measures to strengthen the army, defense capability, restoration of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur has been adopted as a priority task. Funds in the amount of 10.9% of the State Budget will be allocated for construction work in the liberated territories next year. In State Budget 2024, finances in the amount of 10.1% of GDP will be allocated to priority areas," the minister said.

He noted that funds will be allocated from the State Budget for the mobilization and formation of other reserves.
