Armenia and Iran plan to reset road tolls

October 23, Fineko/abc.az. Armenia and Iran have agreed on the abolition of road tolls, and a relevant document will be signed in the near future, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Minister of Territorial Administration & Infrastructure of Armenia.

"We have agreed with the Minister of Roads & Urban Development of Iran, Mehrdad Bazrpash, that in the near future road tolls between our countries will be completely reset. This is an important agreement that can provide an opportunity for a serious economic effect. The abolition of duties should contribute to an increase in cargo traffic and transit potential," the minister said.

During negotiations with the Iranian counterpart, an agreement was also reached on the start of construction of the southern part of North-South highway with the participation of Iranian companies.
