October 20, Fineko/abc.az. It is planned to construct solar power plants with capacity of 390 MW in Neftchala, 445 MW in Bilasuvar and 200-300 MW in Gobustan.

ABC.AZ reports that Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov wrote about this in an article published in the official press. He noted that work is underway in accordance with the schedule of commissioning of the Khizi-Absheron wind farm with capacity of 240 MW in 2025. Further in the article, the minister says: "Last month, within the executive agreements with ACWA Power on a wind energy project with total capacity of up to 2.5 GW at sea and on land, a roadmap on a battery energy storage system and wind energy projects with capacity of 200 MW on land was signed. Next year BP will lay the foundation of a 240 MW solar power plant in Jabrayil.

"Territories for the construction of solar power plants in Jabrayil and Fuzuli are also being coordinated with Chinese company Nobel Energy. In Nakhchivan, the process is ongoing on the selection and approval of sites for construction of solar power plants with total capacity of 1,150 MW by Nobel Energy, TotalEnergies and A-Z Czech Engineering. In addition, according to a pilot project with capacity of 100 kW, the first floating solar station in our country has been installed on the Boyukshor Lake, which will soon be connected to the grid. In general, by 2030, it is planned to gradually create production capacities in the amount of 7 GW. Depending on export requirements, these volumes may increase significantly by 2037."
