Azerbaijan starts importing gasoline AI-92 from Lithuania

October 18, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 58,624.27 tons of motor gasoline AI-92 for Jan-Aug 2023 (70.5% less against Jan-Aug 2022), ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Statistics Committee.

The cost of import of AI-92 reached $54.148 million (decrease of 75.8%).

Over Jan-Aug 2023, the main volume of imports accounted for Turkmenistan (22,733.53 tons for $19.56 million). 20,943.53 tons for $22.587 million were imported from Lithuania and 14,947.21 tons of gasoline for $11.997 million.

The import of AI-92 in Azerbaijan from Lithuania began in August of this year.
Azerbaijan imported 198,790.13 tons of AI-92 for $223.456 million in 2022.
In 2021, the import of AI-92 was not carried out.
In Azerbaijan, AI-92 is produced only at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery.
