October 17, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 60,147.68 tons of meat for $30.2 million for Jan-Sept 2023. 

ABC. AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee that import indicators increased by $8.225 million (by 15.8%) in value terms and by 1,322.41 tons (by 4.6%) in quantitative terms.

Over Jan-Sept 2022, the country imported 28,919.26 tons of meat for $51,929.91 from abroad.
Thus, the import price per ton of meat this year amounted to $1,989, and in the relevant term of 2022 – $1,795. This year, this indicator has grown by $193 (by 10.8%).
In the first 9 months of this year, meat imports made up 0.48% of Azerbaijan's total imports. But for Jan-Sept 2022, this figure was 0.50%.
