Decline recorded on oil/gas sector of economy

October 11, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan’s nominal GDP reached AZN 90.8 billion for Jan-Sept 2023, and real growth of the economy is estimated at 0.8%.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Statistics Committee, that the non-oil/gas sector grew by 3% in 9 months, while the decline in the oil/gas sector was 1.5%.

In the structure of GDP, industry accounted for 41.6%, trade & repair of vehicles - 9.5%, transport & warehousing - 6.4%, agriculture & forestry, fish farming - 6%, construction - 5%, tourist accommodation and catering facilities - 2.3%, information & communications sector - 1.7%, for other sectors - 18%. The share of taxes in GDP was 9.5%.

GDP per capita for Jan-Sept amounted to 8,948.8 manats.
