September 18, Fineko/abc.az. Meters for household consumers will be installed at the expense of the system operator.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the new Draft Law on Energy, discussed at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology.

According to the draft, an energy subject cannot impose conditions, requirements and obligations to an energy consumer that contradict regulatory legal acts or whose fulfillment is impossible.

Energy consumers pay for the consumption of energy consumed based on meter readings. Depending on the energy network to which consumers' construction facilities are connected, meters for household consumers are equipped, installed and replaced by the appropriate System Operator at the expense of the corresponding System Operator.
