September 11, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 8 months the consumer price index made up 111.7% (versus Jan-Aug 2022), including food, beverages and tobacco products - 113.4%, non-food products - 110.6%, paid services to the population - 110.2%, ABC.AZ was informed at the State Statistics Committee.

The CPI was 99.6% for August 2023 (compared to the previous month) and 108% against August 2022.

This August, the CPI for foods, beverages and tobacco products reached 99.1% compared with July 2023 and 107.4% versus August 2022.

The CPI for non-food products last month was 100% compared with the previous month and 108.3% compared with August 2022.

The CPI for paid services to the population made up 100.1% versus July 2023 and 108.9% against August 2022.

According to statistical data, the average annual inflation at the end of August 2023 slowed to 11.7% against 12.2% at the end of July. At that, average annual increase in prices for food products made up 13.4%, non-food products 10.6%, and services 10.2%.
