Consumer price index in Türkiye exceeds 9% for August

September 4, Fineko/abc.az. Annual inflation in Türkiye increased again in August, ABC.AZ reports with reference to Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat or TÜİK).

Consumer price index (CPI) realized as 58.94% annually and 9.09% monthly (in July this indicator was 47.83%).

A change in general index was realized in CPI (2003=100) on the previous month by 9.09%, on December of the previous year by 43.06%, on same month of the previous year by 58.94% and on the twelve months moving averages basis by 56.28% in August 2023.

Last October, inflation in Türkiye reached the highest level in the last 24 years - 85.5%, and since this July, inflation, which began to gradually decline from the end of 2022, began to grow again.
