September 1, Fineko/abc.az. The wealth of Russia's richest businessmen has increased by $32.01 billion since the beginning of 2023, according to Bloomberg's Billionaires Index.
ABC.AZ reports that the highest profit was received by a billionaire of Azerbaijani origin, Lukoil founder Vagit Alekperov, who earned $7.25 billion since the beginning of the year. His fortune has increased to $22.6 billion. Despite this, Alekperov ranks fourth in the list of the richest businessmen in Russia .
NLMK Chairman Vladimir Lisin's fortune is reported to have increased by $4.36 billion to $24.2 billion. The value of both Russians' cash assets is based on an analysis of dividends, insider trading, taxes and market conditions. At the same time, the head of Novatek, Leonid Mikhelson, earned $3.49 billion, with his fortune reaching $28.1 billion.
Topping the list is Vladimir Potanin, one of the principal owners of Norilsk Nickel. Since the beginning of the year, he has increased his fortune by $1.13 billion to $29.7 billion and remains Russia's richest businessman.
The member of the Federation Council from the Republic of Dagestan and businessman Suleiman Kerimov suffered the greatest losses, his fortune decreased by $1.03 billion, to $7.97 billion.
The agency has been publishing the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, which includes information about the state of the 500 richest people on the planet, since March 2012.
