August 30, Fineko/abc.az. In January-June 2023, Greece imported 1.020 billion cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan, ABC.AZ reports, citing Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union (EU).

The report notes that in June, imports amounted to 174.6 million cubic meters, demonstrating an increase of 7.1% compared to 163 million cubic meters of gas in May.

The total amount of Greece's expenses for the purchase of natural gas from Azerbaijan for the six months of 2023 amounted to 523.8 million euros.

In June, spending amounted to 58 million euros (down 15.7%) compared to 68.8 million euros in May.
