According to the results of the first half of the year, Gazprom's net profit attributable to the company's shareholders, according to international financial reporting standards, amounted to 296.2 billion rubles (about $3 billion) against 2.5 trillion rubles (about $26 billion) a year earlier, ABC.AZ reports citing Gazprom.

The decrease in net profit in the company was largely associated with the impact of exchange rate differences on financial items in the amount of 567 billion rubles against the backdrop of a depreciation of the ruble over the reporting period by 24% against the dollar and by 26% against the euro.

Gazprom's revenue amounted to 4.11 trillion rubles (approximately $43 billion). The company's profit from sales in the first half of the year decreased by 3.5 times, to 744.78 billion rubles, and profit before taxes amounted to 360.6 billion rubles against 3.24 trillion rubles a year earlier. The EBITDA of the Gazprom Group for the first half of the year was 1.228 trillion rubles, and the EBITDA margin was 30%. Gazprom's liquidity reserve is more than 1.1 trillion rubles, which exceeds short-term debt obligations, the deputy head of the holding said.
