Banks buy over $61M at foreign exchange auction in Azerbaijan

August 24, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) with participation of the State Oil Fund has held a foreign exchange auction.

The CBA informs that at the auction on August 24 the demand of banks amounted to $61.33 million and was fully met.

As a result of the auction, the weighted average rate of the manat formed at the level of 1.7000 AZN/USD.

At the foreign exchange auction on August 22, the CBA sold $59.9 million to banks.
