August 22, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of taxes excessively transferred by taxpayers to the state budget of Azerbaijan, as of July 1, 2023, is AZN 2,150 million, which is 24.6% more than at the end of 2022, according to the Accounts Chamber,

ABC.AZ reports with reference to Interfax-Azerbaijan that, according to the ministry, taxpayers in the oil and gas sector accounted for AZN 181.7 million (an increase of 2.7 times over 6 months) of this amount and  non-oil and gas sector made AZN 1,968.3 million (an increase of 18.8%)

SOCAR's overpaid taxes are estimated at AZN 118.8 million.

Overpaid taxes from the private sector are estimated at AZN 1,005.9 million, state-owned companies - AZN 607.4 million, foreign companies - AZN 204.3 million, joint ventures made AZN 150 million, and the rest from other companies.
