August 21, Fineko/abc.az. The growth in the number of payment cards had a positive impact on the volume of non-cash payments.

The volume of non-cash transactions within the country for seven months of this year rose 2.2-fold year-on-year, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank.

In July 2023, the volume of non-cash payments within the country, carried out through cards, amounted to AZN 4,556 million

E-commerce accounts for AZN 3,583 million of non-cash payments. Of the remaining amount, AZN 965 million were sold through POS terminals, and AZN 7 million through self-service terminals.

Since the beginning of the year, the volume of non-cash domestic transactions with payment cards has amounted to 53% of domestic card transactions.
