According to the Central Bank, as of July 1 of this year, the loan portfolio of banks and other credit institutions of the country increased by 16.7% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to AZN 21,966,200,000 in the equivalent of the national currency.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that long-term loans made AZN 18,197,200,000 or 82.8% of the total loan portfolio. 96.9% of loans were issued by banks, and 3.1% by non-bank credit organizations and credit unions.

The amount of overdue loans for the year decreased by 24% to AZN 502.3 million and amounted to 2.3% of the total loan portfolio.
