According to the Central Bank, the deposits of the population in banks for the year increased by 20.3% to AZN 12,748.8 million in the equivalent of the national currency on July 1 of this year.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee, 63.4% of deposits were made in national currency, 36.6% in foreign currency, the amount of deposits in national currency increased by 27.7% compared to the same period of the previous year, and the amount of deposits in foreign currency increased by 9.4%.

In July, the average exchange rate of the national currency against $1 was AZN 1.70 (since the beginning of the year - AZN 1.70), 1 euro was AZN 1.88 (AZN 1.84), 100 Turkish lira made AZB 6.44 (AZN 8.31), 100 Russian rubles made AZN 1.88 (AZN 2.16).
