Several Russian banks have started operations with the digital ruble since August 15.

According to ABC.AZ, at the first stage, operations are carried out in a pilot mode in several banks.

MTS Bank will enable the participants of the pilot project with the opportunity to open a digital ruble account in the bank's mobile application, pay for goods and services in trade and service enterprises with digital rubles using a QR code, transfer digital rubles, and make automatic transfers. 

Earlier, the MTS Bank, together with the Bank of Russia, successfully tested operations for opening accounts and transferring digital rubles to individuals.

On the first day of testing at VTB, the bank's employees used the VTB Online program to test account opening operations in digital rubles, transfers between individuals, as well as payment transactions.

As part of the pilot project in Promsvyazbank, a focus group of bank employees will conduct operations on digital ruble accounts opened in the PSB mobile application.

It is noted that within the framework of the pilot project, the list of operations using the digital ruble will be expanded.
