As of July 1, Azerbaijan's domestic public debt amounted to AZN 4.970 billion, or 4.5% of the projected GDP for 2023.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Finance Ministry that compared to the end of 2022, the level of domestic public debt in absolute terms increased by AZN 782.1 million.

Domestic public debt consisted of outstanding balances of government securities placed on the domestic financial market. As of the reporting date, 27.5% of domestic public debt falls on government securities with a term of one year, 52.1% with a term of two and three years, and 20.4% with a term of five years or more.
