EIA raises forecast for OPEC countries' daily crude oil output in 2024

The Energy Information Administration under the US Department of Energy has published a forecast for daily crude oil production by the countries of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) for 2024.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the monthly EIA report that the EIA report only slightly raised the forecast of OPEC countries for daily crude oil production for 2023-2024.

Next year, the average daily oil production in OPEC countries will be 28.5 million barrels, which is 0.01 million barrels more than previously forecast.
The report notes that this year the average daily oil production in OPEC countries will amount to 28.06 million barrels, up 0.04 million barrels from the previous forecast.

According to the information, last year the average daily oil production in OPEC countries amounted to 28.67 million tons.
In 2021, the average daily oil production in OPEC countries amounted to 26.28 million barrels. OPEC's daily oil production in 2020 was 25.6 million barrels compared to 29.27 million barrels in 2019.
