UK posts decline in retail sales

UK saw a 1.5% decline in retail sales in July this year.

The British Retail Consortium (BRC) noted that retail sales in the country grew by 2.3% in the previous month, ABC.AZ reports.

According to the information, retail food spending increased by 8.4%, the average growth rate of retail food spending over the past 12 months was 7.8%.
Inflation in the UK rose by 8.7% in May and by 7.9% in June.
