Given the reserves at the beginning of this year, the volume of commercial natural gas production in the country in January-June 2023 amounted to 18,177.8 million cubic meters.

The State Statistics Committee told ABC.AZ that 29.9% of natural gas reserves were consumed domestically, 56.5% were exported, 1.5% were lost, and 12.1% remained as a reserve at the beginning of July.

59.6% of the natural gas consumed within the country was used for production needs, and 40.4% was sold to the population.
The country exported 11,800.0 million cubic meters of natural gas in January-June 2023, an increase of 4% year-on-year.
