August 1, Fineko/abc.az. As of July 1, 2023, the external public debt totaled $6.576 bn and was in the amount of 10% of projected GDP for the current year, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Ministry of Finance.

The internal public debt was equal to AZN 4.97 bn and made up 4.5% of projected GDP for 2023. The domestic public debt was the residual debt on government securities placed on the domestic financial market.

27.5% of domestic government debt accounted for government securities with maturity of 1 year, 52.1% - for 2 and 3 years, and 20.4% - for 5 years or more. AZN 113.3 million were used in the first 6 months of this year as part of the signed agreements on the external public debt.
