Central Bank right to conclude cooperation agreements with foreign central banks abolished

July 31, Fineko/abc.az. The right of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan to conclude cooperation agreements with central banks of foreign countries in various fields of activity has been abolished.

ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the amendments to the Law on the Central Bank, approved by President Ilham Aliyev.

With the amendment of the law, the Central Bank also cannot conclude on its own behalf (subject to the requirements of paragraph IV of Article 119 of the Constitution) agreements and other agreements on clearing and settlements with public and private central clearing (processing) agencies located abroad.
