July 31, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order "On the establishment of days of cities in the territories of Azerbaijan, liberated from occupation".

ABC.AZ reports that establishment of the Occupation-Liberated City Days is designed to perpetuate the historical victory won in the Patriotic War.
According to the document, the following days will be solemnly marked annually as the days of cities in the occupation-liberated territories: August 26 – Lachin City Day, October 4 – Jabrail City Day, October 17 – Fuzuli City Day, October 20 – Zangilan City Day, October 25 – Gubadli City Day, November 8 – Shusha City Day, November 20 - Agdam City Day, November 25 - Kalbajar City Day.

The decree emphasizes that as a result of the military aggression of Armenia, our ancestral historical lands, which had been under occupation for almost 30 years, were liberated from occupation by military and political means in the 44-day Patriotic War, and every day leading to a glorious victory is inscribed in golden letters in the history of Azerbaijan.

"At the cost of the lives and blood of soldiers and officers of the valiant Azerbaijani army in the Patriotic War, more than 300 settlements were liberated from occupation, including the cities of Jabrail, Fuzuli, Zangilan, Gubadli, the settlements of Minjivan, Agbend, Bartaz of Zangilan district, the settlement of Hadrut of Khojavend district and many of its villages, the village of Sugovushan of Terter district, several villages Khojali and Lachin districts, as well as important strategic heights in the directions of Agdere, Murovdag and Zangilan. The war ended with the liberation of the city of Shusha – the crown of Karabakh and forcing Armenia to sign an act of surrender," the document says.

The decree stresses that Karabakh and East Zangezur liberated from occupation are currently being restored, the territories are being cleared of mines, large-scale restoration and rehabilitation works are being carried out: "For the return of IDPs to their homeland, by Presidential Order #3587 from November 16, 2022, the implementation of the "First State Program for large return to the occupation-liberated territory" has begun territories of Azerbaijan". The return of IDPs to Agali in village of Zangilan district, Talish village of Terter district and Lachin city has already been ensured, and work in this direction is ongoing."
