July 28, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order on the construction of Alijanchay water storage reservoir in the Oguz and Shekisn districts.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the order, the State Agency of Water Resources of Azerbaijan, in coordination with the Ministries of Economy and of Agriculture and local executive authorities, was tasked to define settlements and cultivated areas to be provided with drinking and irrigation water within a five-month period on a priority basis and submit to the commission "Measures for the effective use of water resources".

The Ministries of Economy, of Ecology & Natural Resources, of Agriculture, of Emergency Situations, the executive authorities of the Sheki and Oguz districts were tasked to take the necessary measures to resolve issues related to the construction of Alijanchay reservoir.

The Ministries of Economy and of Finance are tasked to take the necessary measures to finance the construction of the reservoir in 2023 and in subsequent years.
