July 17, Fineko/abc.az. During the year, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan receives 2,700-2,800 complaints from citizens on 90,000 insurance cases, ABC.AZ reports, quoting CBA director-general Ziya Aliyev.

He said that most of the appeals related to compulsory insurance, in particular, compulsory car insurance. There is an objective reason for this. Compulsory car insurance has become more widespread.

He said 50% of insurance complaints relate to the assessment of losses, and the rest with late payment, refusal to pay, and the requirement of additional documents.

The introduction of direct regulation of losses related to compulsory car insurance has reduced the number of insurance complaints. In the nine months since the introduction of the new rule, the Central Bank received a total of 75 complaints in more than 40,000 cases. In 70% of the surveys conducted in this regard, policyholders expressed satisfaction with the services.
