July 14, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 48,373 vehicles of various purposes for $753.305 million for Jan-Jun 2023 (37.5% and 63.4% more, respectively, against Jan-Jun 2022), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee.

The import of vehicles intended for transportation of 10 or more people, including the driver, decreased 4.2-fold to 77 vehicles (for $5.246 million), and the import of automobiles and other vehicles intended mainly for transportation of people increased by 38.8% up to 44,937 vehicles ($679.509 million).

In addition, imports of motor vehicles for cargo transportation grew by 37.1% up to 3,161 vehicles (for $47.46 million) and imports of special purpose motor vehicles by 22.2% up to 198 vehicles (for $21.089 million).
