July 10, Fineko/abc.az. 76% of loans given by commercial banks in Azerbaijan account for Baku, so loans are not available in the regions, ABC.AZ reports, quoting MP Vugar Bayramov.

He noted that in the regions there is a particularly low level of access of entrepreneurs to loans.

"Lending opportunities outside the capital are not being used well enough," he added.

In addition, according to the MP, rapid growth of consumer lending in Azerbaijan is of concern:

"Over AZN 9 bn of consumer and mortgage loans have been given in the country for 5 months of this year. The more we attach importance to consumer loans, the more we create the ground for disputes."
