July 6, Fineko/abc.az. Freight transportation by railways of Azerbaijan increased by 7% to 9,157,703 tons in the 1st half of 2023, ABC.AZ was informed at Azerbaijani Railways (ADY).

Azerbaijan imported 2,378,078 tons and exported 1,666,091 tons of cargo by railways for the past 6 months.

Within the country, carriages by rail reached 1,585,836 tons of cargo. Transit cargo transportation in the 1st half of 2023 was 3,527,698 tons.
