June 24, Fineko/abc.az. The banks in Azerbaijan increased their portfolio of business loans, mortgage loans and consumer lending for the past 5 months.

ABC.AZ reports that as of May 31, 2023, the loan portfolio of banks is estimated at AZN 20.659 bn (a rise of 5.4% against the indicator at the end of 2022). In May, the portfolio of banks grew by AZN 279.7 million.

Over Jan-May 2023, the banks increased the portfolio of business loans by 2.9% up to AZN 11.17 bn or 54.1% of the total loan portfolio. In May, the portfolio of banks on business loans grew by AZN 62.8 million.
